In December I had a major issue with fraudsters and fat quarters. Because those are the least expensive of all the variants in the store, bots hit those and create orders to see if stolen credit card numbers are viable for mining. Fortunately, Shopify can tell these orders are likely fraudulent. I had an order today and the name on it was John Doe. I guess the bots decided to drop all pretense.
Long story short, I will be systematically removing fat quarters from the online store. I don't have much of a demand for them anyway - except from fraudsters - so this is my solution.
I am a tiny store. If these bots are hitting me this frequently, I wonder what they're doing to larger shops? It's an annoyance, but so are mosquitoes, right?
